Am I the only person in the world that hates hearing how busy someone is? We are all busy, the majority of us just crack on with it and do what needs to be done. If however, you are soooooo busy that you can’t cope. Here are 4 ways I get things done whilst I am not at my desk that may help…
- At the gym – I go to the gym and on the cross trainer I whip out my trusty IPhone and delete all my emails. In 45 minutes I can get through all 4 in-boxes and flag the ones I need to follow up with later.
- On the Train – My commute is 35 minutes and I use this time to write and map out blog posts, respond to emails and setup meetings for the week ahead. Sure, I would love to read Heat (or alike) but that isn’t going to bring #workdomination is it?
- Whilst Bradley watches football – I hate football, its more boring to me than watching grass grow so, I look like the perfect wife, letting my husband watch as much football as possible and in return – I can get an extra 90 minutes worth of work done every-time a match is on!
- Get up early. This one will bother most I suspect but, get up an hour or so earlier. That extra hour, I believe, makes no difference at all to general well being and the amount of stuff you can get done in an hour is astounding. Try it for a week and see. Get up at 6.00 am instead of 7.00 am and see how much you get done!
